Foldable electric motorcycle!! ICOMA, Japan has unveiled a foldable electric motorcycle called “Tatamel Bike”.
Japanese bike manufacturer ICOMA has released a foldable electric motorcycle, dubbed the Tatamel Bike, that can be manipulated to fit into small spaces for convenient storage.
When fully unfolded, the motorcycle measures 1230mm long, 1000mm tall and 650mm wide. In its folded position, the bike shrinks down considerably to only 700mm long, 680mm tall and 260mm wide. The front of the bike folds up and locks into place when ready to ride, while the back of the vehicle extends from underneath a side panel and rests on a kickstand once fully removed
The compact vehicle can further be customized to replace the side panels with the user’s choice for colors and materials. Riders can also decorate it with illustrations or personalized signage or further embellish its exterior
The bike enlists a lithium ion phosphate battery, which can power the Tatamel to a top speed of 40 km/h. With a portable power supply, the bike is capable of cruising for roughly 50 km on one charge.
ICOMA’s latest design features rectangular side panels, which riders can customize with various colors and materials as well as illustrations or specific signage.
At this time, the company is currently developing the Tatamel for mass production and has not disclosed a release date or price information.
The Japanese product uses a lithium ion phosphate battery with the capacity of 12Ah (approximately 0.6kWh). It can power the vehicle to a top speed of 40km/h, and the motorcycle is capable of running for roughly 50km on one charge with a portable power supply. The large internal battery can also be used to charge other electronic devices such as cell phones, as the design supports both concentric plug and USB.
Designed with the idea of convenient storage, the extremely interesting Tatamel Bike will be an affordable and eco-conscious way to commute to work every day.

The interesting rectangular wooden side panels that cover the innards of the Tatamel Bike are basically customizable. Users can have these panels designed however they want. The motorized bike is powered by a lithium iron phosphate battery which propels it at 40kmph. Interestingly, the battery can run the motorbike for good 50km on a single charge. There is no word on when it’ll be launched, but we are really excited and are eagerly waiting!
